  • Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Audit: AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail
  • AWS Integration & Messaging: SQS, SNS, Kinesis
  • AWS Serverless: AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito
  • AWS Security best practices: KMS, SSM Parameter Store, IAM Policies
  • Creating you Virtual Private Cloud, VPC in AWS

You have just completed your training in Cloud Solution Architecting and decided you will setup and grow your own website hosting business using the LightSail services on AWS as PaaS.  But before you commit to subscribing to the service, you want to first setup your website to promote this new business and test the market. You reckon your website will be a static one and want to deploy it in the most cost-effective way. Follow the following steps to reach your project goal

  • Register a suitable domain name for your business
  • Ensure the domain is hosted (NS and SOA Records)
  • Create web page in html and host it in S3 bucket
  • Create the appropriate DNS record using Route53 to point your registered domain name to your static S3 website
  • Generate an SSL Certificate for your new website to enable https
  • Using the CloudFront DNS and Route53 CNAME, attach your SSL certificate your website
  • To edit your website in future, simply upload the edited html file to replace the old version in your S3 bucket

Part 2: DevOps Engineering                       4 weeks

  • How to Practically Implement Continuous Integration & Delivery for any Project
  • Understand working with AWS Cloud Linux Servers from Scratch to Setup Deployment
  • Gain Real time hands on Deploying Apps into Dockerized Containers by setting up Dockers in AWS
  • Gain Knowledge of Ansible tool to automate Scripts/tasks in any Linux Server
  • Achieve Continuous Integration with Ansible + Docker + Jenkins + GIT
  • Learn Git Web Hook Integration with Jenkins to achieve Continuous  Integration Solution

Final DevOps assignment:  Deploy Ansible in Remote Server

  • Spin up a production Server in cloud, using AWS
  • Establish SSH connection between your Controller Node and the QA server
  • Prepare Ansible Inventory file and YAML file with detailed requirements
  • Install Java, Tomcat and Docker in remote Server
  • Connect with and download project codes by Solution Developers from GitHub
  • Enter the COMMANDS to deploy in remote server
  • Troubleshoot any errors till project is successfully deployed
  • Finally, go to Jenkins and AUTOMATE the above processes on your CI/CD pipeline
